I want to mount this camera on my rear window. Most all of the mounts have a 45 degree bend, and does not position the camera so it is less visible.

My car has the third brake light at the top of the window. It is surrounded by a flat base of about 8.5" x 10". I would like to lose the suction cup and drill a hole to attach the mount to. Or even glue the mount to the base.

Thanks

The DIY section of the forum would be a good place to post this question, as the T mount is common to several cams.
The shortest T mount that I have checked is below. It is 1 3/4 inch tall. Adhesive base. The ball joint in the center allows rotation and tilt aiming.

There is another short T mount model that Pier28* offers that may be shorter.

Maybe someone knows of something shorter.
If you wanted to experiment, you could cut off of the lower section and then drill/tap threads, maybe glue. Would reduce this to near an inch or less. I suggest trying a full version first to verify you like the field of view and cam placement before considering modifying it.
