Hi everybody

Any idea what this chip is? It's only a QFP64. Most of the listed known ones are much more complicated - ~200 pin BGA etc.

It's a very cheap £17gbp dashcam that I bought while I was awaiting a replacement battery for my existing one.

I'm just curious. I was looking at h.264 encoder chips and RGB to MIPI CSI bridges and stuff the other day and then it occurred to me that dashcams pretty much have all this stuff in them already - if I wanted to try to do some sort of video streamer.

Would I be right in thinking that the camera modules themselves must be using either parallel RGB, or, MIPI CSI? SPI wouldn't be fast enough, would it? There don't seem to be enough wires on the camera module of this, for parallel RGB, or even barely on the main chip itself, when you add everything else in.
