iMagnet Mount
@niko was ahead of his time in exploring magnetic dash cam mounts and now we are starting to see them appear commercially. The iMagnet is interesting to me because while it is marketed as a smart phone mount it could easily be used and or modified to mount certain dash cams. (like the Mobius) It is a suction mount product with a rare-earth magnet as the attaching surface. Interestingly, it claims to have 2X the suction strength of other similar style mounts due to a patented high-resilience sticky gel suction cup that is washable and durable, and can be restored to its full stickiness after cleaning with mild soap and water. This might be just the ticket for mounting onto those pesky windshield dots. Since it provides three methods for attaching the required metal plate to your phone it seems that these methods could be applied to many dash cams. The product seems a little pricey and maybe a little bigger than we might want but it seems like it has potential. It might even be inspiration for a smaller DIY version.
