Inconsistency entering / exiting parking mode?

Hehe that will be hard, the bonnet of my car are angled like the 70 M ski jump hill, so anyone sitting on it will slide right off.

I am tempted by the #2 battery option too, not least as i have the massive cabling and fuses from my days dabbling in car audio.
 
Yes and a lead acid battery can suddenly deteriorate at a fast pace.
I also think performance fluctuation are not uncommon even without factoring in summer / severe winter weather.

Have you looked at Northstar AGM’s? Out of all the group 35 batteries they have the most power I could find other than maybe a lithium-ion which is expensive($400+) but only 16 pounds. Some lithium-ion batteries with defects though have blown up....specifically a certain brand. My car has a group 35 battery at 420CCA. The same size Northstar is 740 CCA, better AH, Reserve and 900 deep cycles at or below 50%. It’s a massive difference, the only downside is it’s 16 pounds heavier.
 
A unfamiliar brand in the Danish market, at least when it come to car batteries it seem after a quick search.
