You may stick mount on that shade, no problem here.
Use only cigarette lighter socket and supplied StreetGuardian charger.

Does the cig port turn off while parked or is it hot 24/7?

If you want parking mode you need to use the SGDCHW / SGX2HW 3-wire kit

You'll need to use the hardwire kit for an inline connection. Depending on how your cigarette lighter ports are set up, the camera may turn on/off with the ignition or continue recording off of A/C power. If your camera remains on while your ignition is off through the cigarette lighter port, you run the risk of draining your battery.

I have the same Covercraft sunshade for 2 vehicles. It will not affect. The shade with just hug the back of the camera and bulge out in the back.
