- What is lens aperture?
- Will you offer only one shell / body ( black top / bottom, grey side ), or full black as well like on some pictures?
- Does Dimika use standard 5 pin mini-usb or 8-pin?
- can you share RAW video files, especially night video recording.

Got to love the sound track dubbed over every video. After my bad experience with the DR32, I would have liked to hear the sound quality.

Hi Niko,
Thanks for your questions.

-At the first stage, we will only offer the black top and bottom plus the gray side frame version.

-Yes, the first DIMIKA 1080 uses the 8-pin connector.

-Regarding the RAW video files and other detail parameter, we will release them later when the DIMIKA is ready for launch.

- How does it regulate heat?
- Will it survive in a car in the summertime of ambient temperatures up to 60 C?
The DIMIKA uses a low power consumption processor. According to our test, the highest operation temperature is under 60 ℃.

Delay of Roll-out – last minute improvements

Hello everyone ! I am here to update some information about DIMIKA CAMERA. Anyone who is interested in DIMIKA please feel free to talk with us.

Functionality and user satisfaction are always our primary concern. There’s been a lot of feedback after the introduction of DIMIKA and we treasured that and couldn’t close our eyes on this.

On behalf of functionality and performance, we decided to make some last minute improvements and replaced some components and changed some parts of the housing layout during this week. The improvement based on feedback and on findings during our test time of the last 4 weeks. For this, the product roll-out will be delayed to mid December – quite likely to December 12 December 20.

During the pre-order period we are offering an ‘Early Bird’ discount of 10% on the total order amount by using the coupon code: earlybird.

Notice: We tried everything what we could but the supply chain in the time before X-Mas is too tight that we can’t get all components in time and have to move the roll-out date to December 20.

Here is a selection of last minute improvements and add-on features:

Larger image sensor – Release with 3.5MP instead of 2.1 MP
Wide angle @ 60 fps with pixel binning
Time-lapse @ 3 sec. interval for fast moving scenes
Side cover removed – for easier connection
Higher double button – more easy to operate with gloves etc.
Micro USB port – better compatibility
Some colors – for an overall more vivid design

Will this camera survive Australian summer, which is 45 degrees in the shade, that's 113 degrees Fahrenheit?

Does the camera have any video out via USB to assist with pointing from under windshield or to work as a webcam? Any other video outs/ins?

A simple rear LED would have been nice...

So with the vehicle parked in the sun with an in car temp of around 80 degrees the camera would struggle. Especially with direct sun on it... Using a lithium battery is also a risk... I'd hate that to explode. In Australia and Mediterranean countries our preference is capacitor charge for safety. Best not to restrict your target audience and change to that

if i recall correctly, capacitors don't hold a charge. Keep in in mind this is an action cam

Ah right, I guess you would want to use it without power sometimes :)

With dashcams it's very important to have solid mount, strong connection to the windshield with good air flow for hot days, do your cameras have good quality mounts for vehicles and are there options with them?

"The DIMIKA 1080HD features a tripod socket on its bottom so that users can mount it on a broad range of accessories or other products."

So can you recommend a solid mount with tripod screw? I think you're not talking about mounts like this, or? http://ca-fi.com/en/info-blog

Hello everyone! I’d like to share some new pictures of DIMIKA with you here.

Side cover removed
Considering easier connection we removed the side cover. Without the side cover, the DIMIKA can be easily charged through the Micro USB port while used as Dash Cam.

Higher double button
The new higher double button are designed as a wave shape which is easier to operate even wearing gloves.

Overall black design
The overall black design of DIMIKA is more harmonious with your car and the surroundings. When you do some motion-detection or take videos, it makes the camera much more invisible.

Some color
Dotted with a little red on the buttons, the DIMIKA looks more vivid and distinctive.

notice these are 3D renders, are you wanting feedback? personally I think they look better than the previous version
