I was looking into possibly helping a friend install a dash cam in their vehicle that also has a rear camera. The vehicle is a 12' Honda CRV that has side airbags across the A,B and C pillar. I was wondering if it was safe routing the cable through the roof liner on the driver side towards the rear?

Or is it better to go via the kick panel and through the bottom panels and bring up top at the rear?

Thnx

As long as you are up above the headliner i think you will be good, just keep a little distance to the edge where the airbags is hiding out.

What ever you do don't interfere with the airbags

If the factory ran wires through the airbag area, tape yours to them routing the same way. Otherwise run beside it behind the airbag- never in front of it, fastening to the car so the wire(s) stay in place.
