Hello,

I'm planning to purchase Blackvue dashcam, which has no USB power cable, I believe.
Once I purchase, I'll probably connect it to power bank, the TQKA one.

In order to do so, I think I should use some kind of adapter like this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/B01J67JIOQ
https://www.amazon.com/gp/B01J67JGYS

Is there any problem that could happen using this adapter to power my dashcam?
Should I worry anything about the voltage difference or ampere thing?

if you want to use a power bank get one that has a 12v output, neither of these is suitable for what you want

you're taking a 5V output and trying to step it up to 12v, one of those devices you linked doesn't even step up which is useless, even the one that does though is only 800mAh output which is too low and not very efficient either, if you want to use a power bank get one that also has a 12v output, they are available

I see. I was thinking totally wrong.
So, am I going to be using this cable to connect my dashcam to 12v output powerbank?

Or actually is this the one connect front & rear camera?

Thank you very much!

The TQKA power bank won't work for you since it only provides 5V output via USB-A female. There are numerous power banks that output 12V however, You'll find many listed on Amazon....HERE.

Most of these output via a 5.5mm power plug like in this photo. So what you'll need is a good shielded cable that can connect from a 5.5mm male plug to whatever your Blackvue requires.

the power lead is the one with the cig plug

Thank you so much guys.
I'm still a bit confused, but this really helped me a lot!

I'll do more research and ask you one more time once I receive my dashcam :)

Would this work? On the product manual, it states that it has 12V/10A output (cigarette lighter output).
I thought I might be able to simply plug and play my dashcam with this battery...?!

That's an interesting and unique product and one that I'm not familiar with but it looks like it would work. The question might be what sort of run-time you would get but they show it powering a small Peltier type beverage cooler so I imagine it could run a dash cam for quite a long time. The fact that it uses LiFePO4 cells seem like a plus too.

If you have questions you might contact RAVpower directly and see if they can answer them. https://www.ravpower.com/18000mah-portable-charger-car-jump-starter.html

I also notice they have the user manual and specs online - https://www.ravpower.com/media/downloads/65-02053-101&401&301&201_RP-PB053_说明书_20160726_V1.5.pdf

Thank you so much.
I will update once I try :)

The more I consider this product the more I think it's pretty cool. It's nice to see a company push the envelope a bit and do something creative. There are many jump starter power banks out there but the idea of a portable 12V cigarette lighter socket is somewhat unique and using LiFePO4 cells is also something I've not yet seen in one of these jump starter power banks. Most of them use li-ion cells.

Yes, please report your experience with it!

As advised above, the TqKa will not work for you, it only has 2x USB 5V outputs ... I have one.

Regarding this product .. I would advise reading the 1 Star reviews! Not good !!
I read them when it said it would recharge the 1800mA h battery in a couple of hours with. 15v 1A chager.
Hmmm ?? My Tqka is 20,000mAh and even with an iPad Air 2.1A limited to 2.0A by the battery intake. No way could it recharge in an hour!
The appalling 1 Star reviews seem to concur on this.

This is an old thread but I just want to let you guys know that I’ve been using the setups (the adapter that OP posted) for months now. I’m running a 4-CH: Blackvue DR900s 2CH and DR750s 2CH. All is well and working fine. I’m using iMuto 30000 mAh and RavPower 26800 mAh.

Hi mate, What cable did you use to connect the iMuto to the blackvue?

Thanks

H
