I am using this? Would this ever be the cause of missing files?

The Sandisk problems is an old story on this forum, try to make some search.

I'd Avoid the Red/Grey Sandisk cards, their white High Endurance ones are ok though

I'd use Samsung EVO U3

I have a Samsung Evo and an Sandisk Ultra, both only 32gb though, but I never had any issues with either of them in my G1W-s at the time I had the cam

The Ultra is now in my A118c without issue, and the Evo is in my rear mivue, also no issues

Red/Gray Sandisk Ultra cards can intermittently flip into read only mode when you least suspect it since they use a proprietary controller that doesn't quite follow the SD standards.
It might never happen but happens often enough to others to recommend avoiding all together. (better to be safe than sorry)
