is there a Value camera with highlight / specific save function?

some cameras like the gopro latest version have a highlights function where you press a button and that section will be highlighted when reviewing in their software.
other cameras in the looping function allow you to only save the last period if you mark it by pressing a button. (all other loops not saved)

basically both of these ways are very useful for avoiding editing.

Does anyone know of a budget / value camera that has this or something like this?

I don't recall any dashcam that doesn't have the ability to mark or move at least the current recording segment, it's a standard feature

ok thanks. but actually I should be more specific - I'm also looking to use the cam for action so it should be more of an action cam form factor. I've not seen this feature on cameras with that form factor. if you could recommend specific models that would be great.

Could go to $200. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. outside the GoPro as I'm not willing to pay $300+.

Actually I see that this works on the session models also so could be an option just to go that way, notwithstanding the limitations of that model. The original session is $150
