It's back again - 0807 decides to stop or not start up

Since my last post in January, I have connected my 0807 directly to the second 12v battery in my 4WD SUV. It is activated by a simple on/off manual switch in line of the positive wire.

Although it works fine some days on others it will not start up for "x"minutes, it may then come one and stay on or it may come on and switch off after "y" minutes or not come on at all.

I'm beginning to think the capacitor for the power supply is causing these isssues.

Suggestions anyone please?

I'd check the card first using the h2testw freeware, as that can sometimes cause erratic operation. Then I'd try another PS to see if that's the problem. If you've still got issues then it's probably in the cam. Caps don't often go bad but it does happen occasionally. If you can re-do those cheaply enough it would be worth a try, but otherwise a newer cam might better way forward.

I used h2testw and the 32GB Lexar 633x came up tested oK.

I am thinking it's time for a new Camera.
