In usual USDashCamera fashion, I have my video review:

One thing I wish I could change is instead of a timed mode, I wish it had a light sensor. In Minnesota its completely dark by 5pm around the end of the year, but its bright as day as late as 9:30pm in June. The Nu-Black LED security lights I tested have a light sensor on them so they can only activate if its dark outside, they also have 5 settings on how dark you want it to be to activate, so you can have them work even at dusk, or only when its completely dark.

The timed mode is already an awesome feature, but now that I think about the possibility of switching modes during different times I just thought a light sensor would be a natural progression to make it more convenient (so I wouldn't have to change the time settings every few months to try to better adapt to what time it gets dark around where I live).

Hi @USDashCamera
Great review - the light mode is something I wanted to do, but to do it well you need a built in light sensor. It all got a bit complicated and what not so I had to abandon that idea, however, a customer suggested that we could maybe 'link' in with a weather service so we get their data on when it goes dark etc and do it that way...so this is on our development list. Not as good as the automatic light sensor but hopefully a good compromise.

Thank you again for the review and feedback!

Cheers,

Quick question @JooVuu, are the low res clips just from the HDR mode?

The low res clips is what is needed for preview via WIFI on your phone or tablet, they are there for any resolution the camera can do.

oh ok that makes sense. i had read someone awhile ago say something about separate clips in HDR. I thought thats what they were implying but I had to ask because I knew that could not be what they had meant and I must have misunderstood them. I kept thinking to myself, how the hell do these low res clips help anything at all....
