Important note is that the camera as far as I have been able to use, only supports 30 frames per second for 1080p. At first I was under the impression they were claiming 60fps with 1080p but it must only be 60fps for 720p. In my video review below I mention this, because Gearbest had told me you can change the frame rate, but it only lets you change resolution. It did not seem possible for the 96650 chipset to do 60fps either so I was suspicious at first, but it seems to just be my own misunderstanding that they were claiming 1080p60.

image.jpeg The instructions are also why I assumed (incorrectly) that they were claiming 1080p60.

The manual is just mentioning all available resolutions.
I mean it can do all,
HD, 1080p, 60fps but not all three together. After all, they are separated by commas.
It's translation confusion.;)

The adhesive came off mine very easily. I was worried it would come off badly you can see in my video where my Blackvue and nu-black LED lights were from the 3m VHB still there.

I took it off already but I might tinker with it some more.

It's such a good disguised form factor besides the few points in my video (gray adhesive and the ring around the lens).

really? listed as 96650 on gearbest just like the g1w.

having wifi means it couldn't be the 96650, not supported, gearbest just put whatever details they are given or whatever is printed on the box etc, they wouldn't know what's inside, they're just retailers moving boxes

Not only gearbest, manual also has same thing.

yeah they will just repeat whatever info they have, whether that be from the supplier, on the box, in the manual or whatever

these are a public solution so a good chance that whoever puts it together doesn't know a lot about it either, they just buy the bits and assemble it

How about the bitrate ?

Why 2 power supply connections? Positive as well as ACC. connection.

Constant ( battery ) keeps some settings in memory and switched ( acc ) keeps turning device on / off.

ACC only for on/off.
I connected only ACC and it turned LED on but it didn't record.
So I think power comes from +ve connection, not ACC.

ACC respocible only for on/off function. "Bat" ( constant power ) has to be always connected in order to operate and record.

Thanks @niko, @Sunny.
Seems odd to have constant power to it and Acc. just to switch it ON and Off. Hopefully when Off will also cut power to camera and capacitor to save the last file and RTC.
