Keep apart mainboard from lens using longer flexi cable

Hello,

I have used an A118C dashcam for 3 months and it has broken because of heat (in my opinion).

Now i have ordered an A119 dashcam and i want to protect it from direct sunlight.

I want to use a longer flexi cable and mount lens to the windscreen and camera board to the somewhere on roofliner. By this way am i able to save it from heat?
