LED Light Colors

Hi,

Just wondering why my DOD LS300W's rear LED blinks purple / blue after startup and then switches to blinking red after some time?

On the screen, it appears to be recording with both flash patterns......?

I can't give a firm answer on your question but my camera does the same thing it is normal operating.

I think it maybe when it writes a file to drive etc,after 10 minutes i rearly see anything other than red sometimes, unless the card is full and it starts rewriting file's over the top of old files,when i see blue/purple colours.

I sure one of the design/builders can give a better answer.

there's no purple but when you see blue and red together it just looks purple

just to elaborate, this is from one of my cameras, maybe not the same colours used for each function but will give you an idea of how it is generally represented

LED’s status as follows


Red – Charging

Red Off – Charged

Blue- Power on

Blue flashing – Recording


There’s no purple but the red and blue together will look like purple from some angles

Thanks Jokiin... that is very helpful.

That is why most of the day is see next to no colours,in a truck it is a bit away from me so the mix of light is why the purple!
