Hi guys,

I have a few 170° Git2`s (not 'P' versions), so I want to replace at least one of the lenses.

First of all: available lenses do often have a maximum pixel resolution that is specified. Shouldn't a lens have a resolution that is limited by the wavelength of light? I really don't know, please tell me.

If I mount a 90° lens, can (or even should) I install the firmware of the 90° Git2 on the 170° hardware (e. g. to keep the stabilizer working properly)?

What lens should I use to really have no deformation of the picture at all? The 90° is still a little fisheye-ish.

The lens we sold is specially designed for that sensor, it is 16MP resolution lens.
You can use the 90 degree version firmware after you changed the lens for 90 degree.
If you need no deformation, I think you may need smaller FOV like less than 90 degree, I suggest you can also try some software to reduce or remove the fisheye.
