Lenses

I have tried some lenses. You will need an ir cutoff filter because the stock lens has an ir cut-off coating. Otherwise the picture is violet. But it's great to have a choice of cheap lenses.

any 180fov lenses for 360 rigs?

I am also interested in yi cam rig for pano pictures and in testing new lens for yi.

I think that the

and the

do not match the 1/2.3 sensor in yi.

any 180fov lenses for 360 rigs?

As far as I know if you use 185 degrees lens you can use only two or three cam but you have to zoom the image.
Perhaps it would be better to use more cam with less FOV.

In my yi the pictures have problems of flares according of the position of the sun.
I found these lenses on the same site:

http://www.megapixellenses.com/sell-2357489-1-2-3.html

They have a 8 mm circle of image which would fit the image sensor size in yi cam and I presume I should test the version with ir cut filter.
They sell in a minimum of 100 pcs.
Anyone tried that or may advise me about their quality?
Thank you.

I bought a few lenses to try, including a fisheye lens. It was not the one above. The one I got was 1/3. I did a write up with some details and samples here

I've tried several lenses , and the problem that I found is that Yi has an edge in the lens holder , which allows no more screwing and most of the lenses I could not focus
