I just got my 550 set up and to my surprise, the video quality appears worse than my old DODGS600 camera. I have the latest custom firmware on the 550.
I think the problem is that the video frame height is considerably taller than on my GS600. Same position and aiming as my GS600 and I see half of my dash and entire hood, whereas before I barely saw the end of the hood.
So dash reflections are bounding off the windshield and washing out the image.
Are there any polarizer filters for the 550 available? It would be nice to crop the frame too if possible.
