Long run time needed

I need a camera that will record for 12 plus hours without overwriting......I know the card size will effect this.....Under $100 if possible......thanks

I doubt the camera will make a difference. Recording time is based on resolution and available memory. Most I've seen including mine at the price point accept a 32gb card max. I recall at 1080P my 32gb cards hold about four hours. The time increases significantly at lower resolution and most HD dashcams have a large range settings available. You'll want a 128gb card so look for cameras that can support that size as a starting point

My G1W records about 10 hours on a 64GB card at 1080P. You should be able to record about twice that amount at 720P

The Lukas LK7900 ACE supports up to 256GB, but it would be out of your price range. A larger memory card will eat up quite a bit of your budget since most dash cams under $100 do not come with a memory card.
