Something like whatever TechMoan is using at 20:10 in http://www.techmoan.com/blog/category/car-dvr-dashcams.
The idea is that if I want to show somebody what the dashcam saw, I pull the SD card from the dashcam, insert it into the device, and browse for the file.
We would keep the device in the glove box with charger hooked into a switched source.
Requirements (maybe somebody can suggest more):
My guess is that I am looking for some sort of el-cheapo DVD player - but not *too* el-cheapo...

Requirements (maybe somebody can suggest more):
- Show Date/Time created on file picklist (some cams don't incorporate timestamp into their file names)
. - Accept standard-size SD cards
. - Accept video input (useful for aiming cams that do not have screens)
. - Not toast the battery if constantly connected to charger
