Loop recording, how exactly? (Blackview BL500)

So I just ordered myself a blackview BL500, apparently, and hopefully, the brother of the GS9000. It's a long story, but I had some credit at a chinese website, so I eventually chose this cam. The demo-videos I find on youtube look decent, so he, I have semi-high hopes, adjusted for chinese product quality.

It says it does loop recording on 2/5/10, which I assume means minutes. Now my question is this: Say I set it to 10 minutes, does it create new files of 10 minutes each until the micro-SD is full, then start overwriting the oldest file? Or does it create only one or two files?

(any other tips are obviously welcome, I am a dashcam-newbie)
