It would have been nice to see some video samples from it... Maybe you could use some 3M sticky pads to put it alongside your OEM sensor pod... But then there is no way of plugging it in... Useless!
There is nothing wrong with a 2K dashcam, and nothing very wrong with an "enhanced 2K" camera recording into 4K video files, so a review of the video, in both 2K and 4K modes would have been interesting. The 2K mode is likely sharper, but with more compression due to low bitrate, and if it uses a conventional 4K dashcam field of view then it will have poor license plate reading due to being too wide for the sensor, while if it uses a conventional 2K dashcam field of view, it looses half the advantage of 4K while not gaining the other half.
