Front 4K & Rear 2K+128GB Card

I am considering the purchase of the Mongoal Front 4K & Rear 2K+128GB Card dash cam. I will be installing it on my 2026 GMC Canyon with a canopy and want the camera near the top and in the center of the automotive glass rear door. Even their longer 6.5m cable is only long enough to get from the front camera to the rear driver's side tail light. Can I use a

40Gbps Data Transfer, 8k/4k@60hz video,240w Fast Charging Usb c cable extension of about 2m to get to the camera from the tail light area. Mongoal is not overly forthcoming with info. Will a cable with those specs work with full function? Is there some other way ?

I would like to order it before their 25% off sale ends tomorrow.

According to Mangoal.......apparently not...they advise there will be problems.

They could be covering their butts so you don't have it fail and then blame them. It would depend on the type of signaling and voltage involved. I'm guessing it's not really USB so it doesn't have to meet any specs

It has been brought to their attention that their newest flagship unit cannot, as is, be installed on the back door of a canopy on a p/u truck. Their engineering department is looking into a solution.

Why do you need a cable?
The rear camera connects to the main camera using a special cable from Mangoal; it will not work with any other type of connection.
If you look at the photos in the Mangoal thread, you can see the connectors where the rear camera cable plugs in.

As in my original post......their longest 6.5m cable is not long enough to reach the back door of the canopy on my 2026 GMC Canyon.......need 2-3 more m !

I forgot that one end of the cable is a Type-C connector...
I’ve used extension cables up to 3 meters long without any loss in video quality.
I tested the extension cables with the Viofo A229 Pro/Plus and the Vantrue S1 Pro.
The rear cameras are detected and work properly.

Does not pertain to the Mangoal flagship !

How does the rear camera of the Mangoal flagship differ from the rear cameras of the Viofo A229 Pro/Plus and Vantrue S1 Pro?
For the Viofo A229 Pro/Plus, Vantrue S1 Pro, and the Mangoal flagship, both power and data for the rear camera are transmitted to the main unit via a Type-C cable.
So, the Mangoal flagship's rear camera will work with the extension cable I showed in my previous post.
It will also work with a 3-meter cable.
