Clarity of resolution stays the same in terms of PPI ( pixel per inch ). With 1296p you will get wider image, but PPI stays same.
With 1080p / 60 you will get narrower FOV but smoother playback.

Best if you drive same route with both settings and later decide what you like for yourself.

I stuck to 1080 @60fps... Prefer smoother video.
