When I turn on motion detection the camera continuously records even in the absence of any motion.
This makes the motion detection pretty useless. One of the reason I bought this was to catch a vandal, so I would want it to only record when it detects motion. But if it is continuously recording then you have to sift through hours and hours of video to try to find the culprit.

Is this how all of them are or do I have a lemon? Is there possibly a way to reduce the motion sensitivity so it is more selective about when it records?
Since this thing isn't working for me can anyone recommend a camera with good nigh vision that would work? I don't care about any other features, just something with good motion detection and that captures good video at night.
