Why don't we put up a list of known sellers of fake G1Ws and an FAQ on how to spot a fake? I think this would help a lot of new buyers out and would help organize things into one thread so you don't see three threads about a fake G1W or asking if the vendor sells a real one.

Well everything you requested there is already available so see here http://dashcamtalk.com/g1w/ XD Its hard to keep up with adding the vendors of fake G1W's because there are just to much of them, and more will come.
The real problem is that some vendors add the real G1W specifications to their fake G1W's. On that point you have no other chance than to look on the price, if its incedible low. Or ask the seller directly for the chipset.
And if you should still get an fake G1W, just open a case on eBay and get your money back with eBay's buyers protection, because he tried to scam you

Easier to just keep a list of reputable vendors that have genuine product and good service, it's a shorter list

People to know how easy to make a fake camera that would be helpful.

A will make PCBA for sell, to get low possible price, everything is cheap and simple from them.

B will build molds and sell cases.

C will have the assembly line to put PCBA and cases together to be a dashcam.

The D, E, F and even you and me only need to buy parts from A & B, and let C do finial assembly.

By this process, for these non brand products how to garantee the quality?

so many products discussed here are done exactly like this, people wonder why the same looking products can be great for some users and terrible for others, this is the primary reason

Really, I just made my first post some days ago and I had EXACTLY the same idea. I still have to buy my G1W and I really want it, but I don't know which one.

This happens on other forums as well when buying products from ebay that nobody knows the facts about.

See the member list. It's a huge list were everybody lists from which seller they bought and what the issues are, if any. (I got this monitor as well )
