Hi guys,
I'm Emanuele, from Italy.

Two months ago, I bought a mini 0806 dashcam.
I mounted it on my car, directly connected to 12V battery.

The cam is always under power and my record is to record for 52 hours uninterruptedly.

After some days, I found the cam freezed (only blue led on) or with "FGRMT error: need format".

Is this scenario....... "normal"?

Thanks
E.

I am new here. I am trying to understand that if an 0806 has a hard wire kid supplied so that it can be permanently fed from the car's battery, why do they allow this if it is a bad thing for the camera? Am I right in thinking that it is not such a bad thing to keep the cameras battery charged but actually running the camera permanently causes excess heat - and it is that heat that may cause damage to the camera?

there's nothing that says a hardwire kit is only meant to be wired to permanent power, wire it to accessories for a discrete installation and have the camera work as intended and recording while the car is running, using any dashcam as some sort of permanent monitoring solution is really not a good idea for any kind of prolonged use
