Mini 0806 twin card operation

When I first got my dashcam, it recorded on both cards quite happily. Now it does not.
Some wee questions:

1. when you upgrade do you remove the upgrade file from the sd card?
2. Does the operating software have to be present on both SD cards
3. Will a dodgy battery cause a failure to swap cards.

I like the quality of this dashcam when its working, problem is keeping it working.

Some wee questions:.

1. when you upgrade do you remove the upgrade file from the sd card? ---- the firmware BIN file will be automatically deleted after upgrading, otherwise it will prompt to upgrade every boot up.
2. Does the operating software have to be present on both SD cards ---- operating software, you mean the player? when you format the card in camera the player will be writen into the card.
3. Will a dodgy battery cause a failure to swap cards ---- logically not
