Missing GPS data since 2.1 update?

Is anyone else seeing GPS data not being written into the files since the new firmware?

GPS is on and working, I am getting speed and coordinates as subtitles on the video. But Dashcam Viewer now sees no GPS info (so no map display etc) and if I export CSV from the movies it's all crazy UTC dates and zeros, eg:

I am pretty sure it's not DashcamViewer as it was working until I flashed the A119S.

Otherwise it seems to be a great update, image quality, and WDR are excellent.

Mine looks OK, running A119S_170817_V2.1. Your .csv output looks as if your GPS setting was set to OFF.

I know that's how it looks, but it isn't off. Subtitles showing speed and position appear correctly in the movie image. But apparently the actual GPS data is no longer being written into the files.

Thanks for letting me know you aren't seeing the same problem. That suggests something is screwy with just this A119S. I think I'll re-flash it and set defaults tomorrow and see if that helps.

I just realised I had set the car reg after upgrading the firmware and there seem to be a few suggestions that might be associated with GPS data problems.. Oddly, setting defaults does not erase the reg.no. , it persists and has to be set to blanks by hand.

Default your settings (Default menu setting) after re-loading the firmware. Won't hurt, might help.

I am glad to say this is now fixed. I re-set the camera, re-flashed the firmware off a freshly FAT32 formatted (full, not quick) 2GB card, reset defaults, changed the settings I needed to customise, formatted the 64GB data card in the camera and now it works fine

That is what I did the first time except I hadn't fully formatted the firmware installation card, just did a quick format of the 64GB one, and didn't reset camera defaults after the upgrade. My fault, then, for cutting corners.

I have not tried setting the car reg.no. again, and probably won't...
