mobius needs an audible indicator that it started/stopped recording to indicate if something is wrong or battery is not charging. usually dashcams are put out of sight and you wont know its not working till you need it.

might be hard with no speaker
it wouldnt cost much to add, & maybe they could make it an option, to replace the LED with a speaker

btw could this be done? is there a speaker that could give a light beep that could be soldered in place of the led?
or do speakers need more power?

if there are any ideas how to indicate that a mobius dash cam has failed to start recording, feel free to suggest

how about something external, like a usb powered inline speaker? or some sort of light sensor that clips on the back of the mobius and beeps when the mobius emits a light?

even early dash cams , like the smartcam, beeped. reversing parking sensors beep when they initialize, to show you they are working

they are too reliable for it to be of benefit !

2 years ago i used to say that too, but every video which is important enough to justify a mobius, is important enough to justify an audible signal

The Mobius was designed to be light, small, stable and easy to use. It does not have WiFi, g-sensor, gps, HDMI and, and and. It will never be perfect for everyone. The original design did, in fact, include circuitry for a small beeper but it was decided there was not enough interest to implement. That's how it is. The new Mobius will also not include a beeper, WiFi, g-sensor, gps, HDMI and, and, and. If this is so important to you then you should look at other cameras. You may find one that suits you better, but it won't be so small, light, stable and feature-rich as the Mobius. No camera in the world is perfect for everyone, and out of the many thousands of users very few people (no one?) has complained that there's no beeper. If they had, then I'm sure it would have been implemented a long time ago.
