Hi, that's a simple self-adhesive aluminum tape. You find it in your local hardware/DIY store.

What you see on the photo looks like plain grey duct tape.
If you want foil tape, go to your local building supply store and ask for AC foil tape.

PS. No thermal effect to any of the tape.

You will need thermal paste (heat sink paste) + a heat sink. I don't know, if you attach a heat sink, it might work as antenna and give distribution to the photo sensor.
