Hi

You need:
12v to 5v converter micro USB
12v switch

12v I took of the automatically dimming interior mirror.
Converter I moved into the socket from the rear-view mirror.
I wanted a switch, no ON and OFF by the ignition.

look, thats fine for me.

Nice project !
RVmirror attachment housing or rain sensor housing give more options for DIY projects. I wish my car had one.

Hi,

Yes, a lot of space.
My Alfa has no rain sensor and no automatic interior mirror. But the electrical system is factory-prepared (board voltage).

Wow this looks great! Professional looking end product for sure

Great idea! How did you remove the mirror attachment housing though? My Mito looks exactly the same from the inside but I can’t find any screws that hold it in place?

I wish my car had one.

Not me ! i have so much room in front of my mirror i could build the Lego police station there, a sensor housing would severely make a dent in my ability to test a lot of cameras at once without going off the dotted area directly in front of the mirror.
