thanks... actually it's a very good idea. I have a skoda octavia and it's very similar to you VW and before your post I was thinking to connect to the fuse box terminal on passenger side but now I think I will copy your installation

You can mount the Mini 0805 adhesives mount on the black dotted area on the windshield without any issues?
