My 1st dashcam- Garmin 55? I have a ? regarding video playback.

In picking my first dashcam the Garmin 55 has caught my eye. Among the uses of the dashcam I envision using it on our 4x4 treks. For that application, I think having the GPS data and speed shown in the video from the outing would be a distraction. My question: Can the GPS and speed data be "stripped" ?

Yes, when you turn off GPS display, it will not log it into the video.
