I had a minor accident last night. I was 100% not at fault. The other guy was going fast, in reverse, not looking, and backed into me.

I was completely unhurt, but my car is totaled.

I pulled out the microSD and looked today and it had stopped recording about 3 weeks ago. It didn't give me any kind of audible warning about it. Maybe temperatures around here have been too high and it got cooked?

Anyway, I'm pretty sure this guy is going to pay for everything, but it would be a lot nicer to have video.

My camera did save me in one other accident, where I was rear-ended. The woman wanted to dispute it, but with video, her insurance company didn't even try to argue, they just sent me a check.

The Blackvue is about 2 years 6 months old. The microSD is from this year.

So, this camera saved me in one accident, failed in another.

I would GLADLY pay some extra for a more reliable cam. I would be happy if the thing is a little bulkier if that's what it takes to put in a fan or whatever. This is not an item where I want to economize!

I guess I should find another cam to go with whatever new car I get.
