I bought the capacitor based g1w-c from fox offer and wanted to share my experience since this was the number one resource I used prior to making the purchase.
The video quality is fantastic. The build quality on the other hand is not. My two main issues are the USB plug and the constantly flashing battery icon on the screen. The loose USB port is unacceptable. I was thinking about taking it apart and soldering the contacts, but that would really defeat the purpose of the fast detach mount since it would permanently attached to the wire. I don't know how to fix this, nor should I have to for a $66 brand new camera. I am open to suggestions should anyone have a fix.
My second issue is the flashing battery icon. Since it's capacitor based, there is no battery, so I get why it appears. The problem is that it shouldnt appear at all. Is there a way to update the firmware?
