I just started using psolyca's firmware (https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threa...update-18-11-07-launch-scripts-at-boot.35439/) and I figured I'd whip up a script to cleanup older video files when the camera boots up so that you can actually utilize loop recording without having to manually delete old videos, it also starts a recording once the cleanup process is done by removing the oldest video files until the SD cards capacity is at or below 90%.

Script: https://gist.github.com/JonBons/815a64c1a8fd9a4765e42a76f9e57189
Place the contents of that script into a bootcmd.sh file on your sdcard. (REQUIRES psolyca's firmware linked above!!)

Really good to see people making script.

I will look at your script.

BTW, have you trouble time to time with your camera freezing when using scripts?

I had it happen when I had some syntax error in my script but it's not been too bad since then, the main issue I run into is if I accidentally hit the record button while the script is deleting files it'll throw an SD Card Slow error on the screen and it locks up to where it just beeps at me if I try to do anything and the only fix is to remove all power sources to the camera and plug it back in.

Thanks for this fantastic script! Does the script only run when restarting the camera? I've installed the script and I can see it frees up some space but with only 10% of storage left, the card will fill up quickly and stop recording?
