I currently have 4 forward-facing cameras which have a similar 120-130deg FOV. I thought it might be fun to see who can name them just by looking at the same frame from each camera. Sorry, there's no prizes on offer.

There's also a poll to ask which one you think is the best image (not necessarily the best dashcam). I'll close the poll and identify the cameras in 3 days.

The contenders (not in the same order as the images below) are:
Aukey DR01 (£40)
Mobius 1 (£65)
Mobius 2 (£80)
SG9665GCv2 (£175)

I have trimmed each frame to remove the date & time stamps that would identify the dashcam. ;)

Thanks for your participation. You might be surprised...!

1. SG9665GCv2
2. Mobius 1
3. Mobius 2
4. Aukey DR 01
Just guessing....

I voted number 3, it seems to have the better balance of colour and minimal glare from the lights

while the colour of the Toyota is quite bold in the first two pics, to me it looks like that isn't the colour natural to the eye

However... I haven't taken into account whether altering any of the settings may have changed anything, like the exposure on the number plate of the Toyota in the 4th pic..?

Thanks for your thoughts. It's interesting that we all look for different attributes in an image.

All four cameras were set to auto WB, 0EV and have WDR enabled (where they have image adjustment options).

1. Aukey
2. M1
3. M2
4. SG

The actual order of the images is:
1. Aukey DR01 (1 vote)
2. SG9665GC (2 votes)
3. Mobius 1 (4 votes)
4. Mobius 2 (0 votes)

That means the winner of the best image belongs to the Mobius 1.

I was surprised at how well the cheap little Aukey does. I was perhaps a bit unfair to the SG9665GC as I forgot to remove its CPL, whereas none of the others have a CPL fitted.
