Need a microSD card. Samsung PRO Endurance?

Samsung Pro Endurance write speed is only
30 MB/s Maximum (Burst)
Write Speed: 10 MB/s Minimum
I think is too low a for a dashcam especially with high resolution recording.

I'm currently using SanDisk 128gb High Endurance with
40 MB/s Maximum (Burst)
Write Speed: 30 MB/s Minimum
Works fine on my A129 DUO IR.

check here for spec comparison
I use the SanDisk, no issues yet! Fingers Crossed

+1 for a VIOFO MLC
I've got two: 64GB and 128GB
They are fast cards.

VIOFO 64GB MLC

Write: 69 MB/s
Read: 80 MB/s

VIOFO 128GB MLC
03_h2testw_results_error-free_2019-10-10_222213.png
Write: 66 MB/s
Read: 80 MB/s

I need another 128GB and was considering Samsung PRO Endurance as per their 5years warranty compared to VIOFO 12 months!
But Samsung seem to be a very slow U1 card (10MB/s)

I think I will go with VIOFO again!

Been using 2 of these (256 and 512) with no issues in 2 different cameras.

Wanted to update this post with some additional information.

I had the 512GB Samsung in a SGX2Pro+ and was experiencing some erratic recording (mostly 'short' files, as in shorter than the 5 minute segments I had the camera set for, and an occasional unreadable file). After considerable trial and error, and experimentation I found the card sequential write speed was only 1.8 MB/s and that was the cause of the video problems. It would appear that there was 'something' amiss from the factory because after doing a low-level format with SDFormatter a couple of times the speed is now what it should be.

I have no idea what the initial problem was that caused the write speed to be so slow but since my last format and test it's been rock solid. Also want to say that every other Samsung card I have has been fine right out of the box so this definitely appears to be a 'one off' situation.

Also learned it's a good idea to check the write speed of a new card in addition to verifying it's capacity and integrity.

See the following summarized test results.

Yeah I got around 70MB/s out of my viofo 64GB card.
I just bought a couple of Sandisk Cards for my phone and another dashcam.
Sandisk Extreme U3 gets about 60MB/s seq write and a Sandisk Ultra gets about 40MB/s seq write

Have had a successful several months using the Samsung Pro Endurance cards in my two dashcams (Viofo A129 Duo & Innovv K2).

I think I'll get a couple of the Samsung Evos as backups/spares. You can't beat the bang for the buck, although there's no benefit to the U3 write speed (as neither system records more than perhaps 40 Mbit/s).

I know that the warranty is weak, but I trust that MLC will last much longer than that.

I am not sure if Samsung PRO Endurance is an MLC card but 10MB/s write is not enough for my liking.
VIOFO card was 3 bucks cheaper with a week faster delivery ;-)

Will post h2testw as soon as I will get it.

Great speed, fake free card!

I wasn't able to find anything definitive on the architecture of Samsung Evo or Pro cards. So, probably not MLC. I would think Samsung would advertise it, if they were MLC.

That said, at this point I'm not sure it matters. Cards are getting so big that we average dashcam users aren't going to overwrite them that often, at least not with 1080 video. Unless you drive for a living maybe.

If I had a 256 GB card, I'd overwrite it half as often. The next set of cards I buy could well be 512 GB or larger, given how the technology keeps improving.

What about Lexar 633x and Kodak Hing Speed?
It seems to fit on the meters, but much cheaper

Avoid Lexar in dash cameras. They are very troublesome. Never heard anyone using Kodak cards, but it's best to go with what users are having success with.

And Kingston Canvas React? Also good reviews on them...

I recently purchased a Samsung 128gb PRO Edurance and finding my dashcam isn't going into parking mode compared to my Samsung 64gb PRO Endurance. Not a huge deal as the driving functions are far more important to me however I may go back to the original card as it works almost flawlessly with V1.5
