Just had my rear window replaced, where do I get new mounting tape?

You should have had some spare in the box...

If not then the rear camera is very light, most mounting tape would be adequate, although 3M or automotive (number plate) tape is best since it will be UV resistant.

Always make sure the glass is cleaned and degreased before mounting - a tiny amount of kitchen detergent to remove the grease is good.

I tried this on my rear camera, call it a velcro on steroids. It works well on non-sticky surfaces, but not so much when I stuck it on the black adhesive tape that was already on the cam. The advantage is what velcro provides, allowing the cam to be removed and adjusted if needed. Just something to consider.

Try this at your local Walmart. I have used it and almost as good as the original 3M stuff. You may be able to get the 3M in the same area as I have seen it before.

3M automotive tape it is then. Thank you! Needed to be sure I'd get the right kind. :)
