Hello,

my battery in my CR300HD is dead. I cannot switch it on without the 12volt plug in.

Have opened up the CR300HD and found that the battery is under part number SNO-402025P

Anyone know where I can get a replacement part ?

Jimmy

I asked the dealer, where I bought my cam from, about the battery too, and he said "that the batteries are not sold for general use, so he is wondering how the other user was able to change the battery."

I tried emailing Frank about the zip file, but I haven't received a reply. Could any of you admins tell us about the contents of the zip file?

I managed to find the batteries from China thru a friend. Got them replaced ! Now the DVR work as normal.

The replaced batteries did not seem to last. After two months....the camera still switches off when I pull out the 12 volt cable. The dates seems to be maintained though but the last recording is abruptly terminated.

I got hold of a 550mAh battery meant for the Ipod2 with the same 3.7Volt rating. Removed the battery and redirected the power cable out of the camera and attached the battery to the lower part of the camera.

Seems to work great ! Now I can record from the camera without the power from the car battery.

Has this continued to work? The battery died in my CR 500. I'm thinking of trying this as well (though I'm not a fan of the look).

Hi all,

I have a problem with the CR-300HD internal battery as well. I'm thinking of replacing the battery like in above. Wanted to find out from you guys whether replacing it would work. Saw the thread above that it lasts only 2 months. Would the 12V supply normally charge the internal battery as well?

Any advice would be much appreciated, please.
