I like the concepts, but these are probably lacking in the execution. No mention of sensors or chipsets being used (which usually means they are not good ones) and will probably not handle heat well because of their size and no visible heat sinking. Some day I think there will be excellent cams which are this small or smaller, but I do not see that in the next few years :( Watching this thread to see if anyone here has one of these to see what they think of it :)

Mobius mini wouldn't be much different in size to that first one, it's really small, does have the heat issues you mentioned though

These days, when a camera records in .AVI format it is a clue to stay away in my book.

Strangely popular among some of the pricey Korean cameras for some reason, and the low end junk part of the market, doesn't make sense really

Didn't know that about the Korean models. That does seems strange. I remember early on in my experience with dash cams it seemed like many and even most recorded in .AVI and I had to look for cams that shot in .MOV.

I like that that little IP cube camera has 940nm IR emitters. That's unique and would be a highly desirable feature in a stealthy home surveillance camera.

My thoughts exactly, but, hey, you never know.... so hence the question...

I know right? But it's not all gold that blinks....So I'd like to see some footage of this one before I dump an emo-buy... :D

Forgot about the mini.... yeah, heat, bu for a hatcam it would be swell, no?

Maybe you should say what you want it for, those AVI ones are OK for some uses. Wouldn't want to use one as a dashcam though!

Personally, I've been in the market for a small indoor 1080p IP cam. I've been looking at the Yi Dome Camera 1080p HD Pan/Tilt/Zoom, which would likely be a much better investment for approximately the same price. The idea of a tiny little IP cam that functions in a similar fashion intrigues me though as a possible adjunct to something like the Yi. They would be used for surveillance and such things as keeping an eye on livestock when I'm not on my property.

    Q9 has a OmniVision OV9712 CMOS 1280 x 720
Some vids on YT from store-bought IP cams with it look pretty good daytime, so the potential is there ;) Didn't look for low-light footage so ??? on the IR imaging.

    I'm guessing this one:

    Also found this on Ebay:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272709327994

but it shows 1080p in headr, while description says 720p 15fps +1 ... what...?! But that's not what you mean, do yo?

Actually I find a lot of items related, and called Q9.....

Also found an SQ9, but I don't think that's what you mean? https://baiyutrade.com/2017/02/14/enklov-mini-1080p-camera/

Which btw looks suspiciously very much like the SQ11.... :giggle:

No, but they are both IP cameras designed for interior use. The Q9 cube appears to be intended for similar applications, only stealthier.

What I did was check the ad which mentioned the sensor. Then I googled the sensor and got links from there which were to IP cams and their vids. You can get the sensor specs page from that too, but such stuff is beyond my interest level. I also saw mention of sensor boards for sale using the M12 lens.

This seems a versatile cam in a nice little package, especially with real-time viewing over wifi. I'm guessing the 200 minute run-time would be basic recording to card, not while using wifi, but that's still great for a cam this small.

Definitely an interesting cam and I'm hoping we will see some in-depth reviews soon

The seller sent me the manual for both, and the cube is recording 1280x720 @15fps..... NO TECH info ont the flat one..... My advise: stay away from these..... (n)
