Hey @jokiin ,

I saw this on Gizmodo today, http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2014/02/no-gps-signal-no-problem-this-little-chip-knows-where-you-are/ and http://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...h-3d-automotive-dead-reckoning-244256051.html , and was wondering if this type of technology is something that you may be considering in future products.

I know it is for mainly the dedicated GPS market, but I can see where a top end dash cam could utilise this technology to ensure 100% track-ability.

Also, what other technologies are you considering for future products. I can understand if you would rather not offer any sneak peeks.

Cheers :) Mario

That's the 8 series chipset from U~Blox, we are using the 7 series as this has only just become available (our first prototype was with a 6 series chipset)

The reason I chose U~Blox is because these guys are ahead of the game, as our models progress we will certainly be looking at the newer versions

Again i need that thumbs up smily :)
Pretty nifty technology.

Yea, pretty cool.. it's a USP .. but the receivers are so sensitive these days you can get an on/off lock indoors, so I don't think tall buildings are much of an issue anymore.
Maybe it would come into its own in long tunnels (some Austrian tunnels are 10 miles long), or on a car ferry etc.
