2014/01/23 LS430W (OLD) http://dod-tech.co.uk/Download/firmware/ls430w/LS430W_201401230FW_E00_EC.zip

2014/02/11 LS330W (OLD) http://dod-tech.co.uk/Download/firmware/ls330w/LS330W_201402110FW_E00_EC.zip
I updated my LS330W with this firmware and the version changed from LS330WG1311060EN10E00EC to LS330WBG1402110EN11E00ECA00

I haven't done it on the LS430W yet but will update that one as well once I'm satisfied with this update on the LS330W. There are no new features in this update so I'm guessing they've fixed bugs.

UPDATE:
Newer firmware releases. Posted by petre70 & Pizdys. Thanks guys.

If you are using 64GB memory card you will need to use this software to format it in order to make it work:
instruction: http://dod-tech.co.uk/fat32.html

The latest firmware version (2014/01/23) doesn't work for me. After the installation using the instructions (from DOD-UK) below, nothing changes. The firmware version remains the same (2013/11/03).

I noticed that DOD do offer firmware downloads directly on their site, just not via the english website....

Try visiting http://tw.dod-tec.com/download

Although the site is in Chinese, the downloads menu isn't too difficult to work out. Just select the following options...

1st Box > DOD Car
2nd box > LS
3rd box > LS430W
The downloads should then appear.

At this moment in time there seem to be three firmware downloads. The latest one shows a date of 25th March 2014 (which is probably the date it was added to the site). The actual firmware seems to be from the 19th of March 2014.

I've flashed the firmware to my device and it worked just fine (also supports English). It shows the following version info via the menu - LS430W BG1403190TC11 E00 ECA00A01. Please be careful though , as I don't want anyone to mess up their device. I flashed it out of desperation (after having trouble with the firmwares listed on the 1st post).

If you're using a 64gb card like me, format the SD card properly via yourPC (not via the dash cam), copy the extracted .bin file to the card, then make sure you "safe eject" the card from your PC first (don't just pull the card from your card reader - that has caused me no end of headaches!)

Hope that helps someone.

Regards,
Craig.

... oh, and I only mentioned the LS430w because that's the dashcam I have. I presume that there are firmware updates for the other models too. I just haven't checked.

The latest DOD LS430W has the firmware "ls430wEN11BG201401230fwE00EC"
With this firmware there is something changed. The DOD-cam cannot record on a 64GB MicroSD anymore.
We tried to replaced the older firmware on the new cam with the former firmware "ls430wEN10G201311180fwE00EC",
the one that could work with 64GB SD. But the new DOD LS430W did not recognized that firmware.
Only the latest firmware works with the cam.
We tried everything with the SD cart, format it on every possible way, in the cam, on the computer, but the error message kept coming.
NICE DETAIL, when we format the card in a Mini 0801 dashcam, the 64GB card worked in the LS430w. How is that possible?
So, is something wrong with the cam? DOD-tech never said officially that
the 430w support 64GB. It is a pity as it no longer supports 64Gb. We hope they soon make an update for it.

We tried that too, Fat32-Formatter. With a Transcend- and a Lexar 64GB cards.
Several new DODLS430w cams we tried and all gave the same "memory card error "message.........(We sell them)
@Craigspc .......the Firmware on the Chinees DOD website (number 1403190) does not solve the 64GB "problem"!

Thank you for the link. I've tested all firmwares and all works fine with a 32GB microSD class 10 from SanDisk. But after installation the display shows "memory card error" (on every newest firmware) when I use a 64GB from ADATA (the same how is on DOD-UK). And firmwares I can only install from a 32GB microSD, not from a 64GB. From 64GB nothing happens after start. Very strange.

The latest DOD LS430W has the firmware "ls430wEN11BG201401230fwE00EC"

That's true, I've the same problem.

PS.: Thank you for your PM - promised.

Is there anyone who has firmware that supports the 64GB later than 2131118?
Me too, with different microSD's and tools. No one works with the firmware "LS430W BG1403190TC11 E00 ECA00A01". Now I've changed the firmware back to "LS430W G1311180EN10 E00 EC" from a 32GB without any problems, then I put the 64GB microSD to the DOD LS430W and now it works with 64GB from ADATA.

I have now updated my LS430W with the new firmware as well and it works with the Adata 64GB card. So the firmware is fine.

I updated the firmware using a class 4 32GB card and then formatted the Adata 64GB card with the DOD format tool from their website. So far it works just fine.

I'm surprised, it now works for me. I use the firmware "LS430W BG1403190TC11 E00 ECA00A01" and my 64GB from ADATA. I've everytime made the mistake, that I've used a other formatting program (with the same name/title) to format my microSD, or I formatted it with the LS430W. Now I've tried it with the "FAT32 Format" program from DOD-UK/DOD-CA and it works (thanks to Craigspc and technocar2). My LS430W records now longer then one second without any "memory card error" messages.

Now I make a four hours recording test with my 64GB microSD and the Fat32 file system, because all my 64GB microSD with Fat32 have worked only 4-5 hours and then they were damaged - the new storage capacity was 30.6 MB.

And you will also notice that with the new firmware all the video files are kept in a single folder and the file name now includes the date as well. This is an improvement because in the old firmware when I used the 64GB card the camera could deleted old files in loop mode but it could not delete the folders but with the 32GB card it could delete the folders as well which was odd but with this firmware there is no need for that since all the files are in one folder.

Thats not the way is should be, when I want to format my 64Gb card in the camera, the camera format tool is useless?
Is the 64 card now behaving itself as a 32GB card with 32GB memory? People buy a more expensive 64GB card for more storage.
When the have to make a 32GB card from a 64GB card, they will not be amused.

That's helpful, that's true.

The format function in the DOD LS430W is (for me) useless, yes. I hope DOD will fix this bug and the bug with the 64GB microSD. Maybe the DOD programmers implements a new option to the screen saver with 30 seconds, insted 3 minutes. :)

FAT32 is only a file system. A microSD with 64GB have still the same / full storage capacity with FAT32 if you not use the formatting tool from windows (I've 64GB after I formatted my microSD with the "Fat32 Format" tool from DOD. But the file system FAT32 is not optimal for memory cards with more then 32GB storage capacity. Such memory cards are use the NTFS or newer exFAT file system.

Thanks guys, now it works pretty well.
And, off course Chris, now it has the full storage capacity from a 64GB card. You said: "Fat32 is not optimal........ and so on".
What could go wrong or what can happen with a Fat32 formatted 64GB card?

FAT32 mean: The maximum possible size for a file is 4 GiB minus 1 byte.
exFAT - maximum theoretical file size is 16 EB. Max

exactly,
but definitely after update something has changed, because previously my adata 64GB works perfect without any formating tools (fat32), even after format directly from the unit...now i must format my memory card by PC for fat32 and then i can use it again.

The LS430W could have problems (on saving) with files larger than 4GB.

I've the same issue.

.

it won't create files larger than 4gb anyway, it will segment them regardless of recycle options as it has to do this to use FAT32 formatted cards

The maximum file-size was always 28 minutes (3GB) when you shut off looprecording with the LS430W.
Dod says that using Fat32-Formatter for 64GB is only temporary. There will make Firmware that solve that problem.
