New GPS antenna --> A118 "No GPS"

I've ensured it's plugged in
tried antenna on glass
tried antenna on dash
So, both sides faced up during part of my testing.

No GPS displayed.
And not GPS folder/files created either.

Not knowing which it might be, the cam or the antenna, what else can I do to test/diagnose this?

I've heard that not all A118 supported GPS in firmware. Are you sure your does? Where did you get it from?

Mine has GPS menu item/option. So I would ASSUME that means YES.

they all have that, it seems an issue on the copy version, could also be a problem with the actual GPS itself though
