Somehow I just KNOW that someone is going to hack the drones and play naughty flying games by crashing it into delicate valuables or using it to chase pets then returning it to base without it being logged
This already exists and is available on Amazon and Aliexpress in the form of a cheap wifi drone. It just doesn't have Ring's name on it and a cloud relay server. With the current state of cell and home internet service in the US, I don't think consistent realtime remote video and control is quite at the level shown in the video, but it's probably not too far off after 5G and wifi 6 becomes mainstream.
Speaking of which, this "tactical uav" just popped up in one of my ads. Looks like Google/skynet is already watching me closely.
