Yes that will be fine, only "problem" is it will make it a little bit harder to totally clean up if you decide to sell the car or its a lease car.
I care little for such stuff in my little Suzuki so i have some left over glue there from the many dashcams that have been in my car over the past 5 years.
But its not like a big mess there, but often a little glue get left behind when removing the mount from one camera to make room for a new one.
I could clean it up just fine if i bothered, but im single - a man and so somewhat of a pig as i dont have a woman to kick my ass now and then like most men need.
