Nextbase 322 enquiry

Hi I am new on here so could anyone please tell me if the nextbase 322gw camera is soppoesed To show a red padlock every time the camera starts up when the ignition is switched on please. It also makes a beep when the padlock shows on screen. I hope someone can help

I assume ( not familiar with the brand ) that happen cuz you are using parking mode, and there have been a event while you have been away from car ?

Thank you very much for your reply, the red padlock comes on every time I start the car within 20/30 seconds I thought it was protecting everything onto the SD card but it does go off a few seconds after coming on screen
obviously I don’t won’t it to protect everything when ever the car starts up
