NextBase IQ 4k dual in car

The shop installed them both weeks apart, but the one I have in the rear is not specific rear based camera it's another front facing one. The camera on the front works great, the the one on the rear windshield I cannot get the NextBase IQ app to detect it. The shop says perhaps because it's not specifically a rear facing specific camera? Can anyone help me out? It has the diagnostic circular rotation going on constantly, unlike when the front dashcam was installed, it had a QR code awaiting. Both are linked to OBD II PORT. it times out when trying to add the camera. It constantly is circling yellow.

There have been some problems with the SIM cards not having been activated, so you may need help from Nextbase support.

It doesn't know which way it is facing, being in the rear is not going to be an issue!

There might be an issue with having two in the same car, I would try turning the other one off while you set the new one up, but I suspect it needs Nextbase to activate it...

Do you have two 4K models in the same vehicle?

Yes I do. They are both 4k models. I just hope the one in the rear didn't get damaged as well yesterday. Some idiot Shined his red laser pointer at the one not set up yesterday. I hope he didn't damage it intentionally. I was reading this can easily destroy it

If you mean you used another nominal "front-facing" higher resolution 4k cam for the rear of the vehicle where a lower resolution Rear cam would had gone (as in you had two 2-channel sets), I don't believe you can do that because the electronics of dashcam systems are designed to handle a certain maximum total bandwidth from both channels and you would be feeding it with more bandwidth than it can handle.
An alternative (if the scenario above was indeed your case) is to use those two 2-channel systems (let's call them A1F,A2R and B1F,B2R, for sets A and B, and F=front and R=rear) and then arrange them such that A1F points to the front (as it normally would if you had only one 2-channel set). However, set B1F to point to the rear. You can then use the remaining lower resolution A2R and B2R cams and point them to the Left and Right sides of the vehicle. This arrangement will give you the highest resolution dashcams pointing to the Front and the Rear, where that resolution is most often wanted/needed while not presenting any technical problems related to pushing too much bandwidth into processor that can get overwhelmed.
