Night shot

Whenever I drive and record in the evening my surrounding is pitch black except for what my headlight illuminate. When I drive around town with lamp post and lights from store it is a little brighter but not the same as what the video I see posted here. If I compare my night shot to some of the video here its not the same. However if it just starting to get dark my night shot is the same as the video I see here. In other words I can only capture the same as the video I see here if it is just starting to get dark. Am I doing something wrong or is this normal?

Check the settings ( exposure and contrast).

I use the "lowlight" setting and it's pretty good. My Mobius is rear facing through 15% tint with only the brake lights as illumination.
